Black Water
Into the abyss he contemplates going.
An end to all difficulties he was requesting.
Convinced of life's unfair treatment.
He drives to the highest point of the bridge seeking
contentment.
He stands erect staring at the vast black water.
Mouth wide-open, black water is waiting to pander.
Strength for the deed is easy, convinced he is fettered.
The leap and the dawdling fall.
Serenity as he descends to end all.
Seconds that appears to take forever.
He plunges into the immense black water.
Water engulfs his body for a speedy ride to hell.
Attempt of large stroke to come up for air is to no avail.
Black water grants his wish.
Now, his body lives in the abyss, like the humpback
anglerfish.
